These projects, in some of Melbourne’s outer suburbs, feature Colorbond® snaplock walls & roofs. These were installed using our 25mm galvanised steel snaplock clips. By purchasing and installing this cladding our steel clips, this cladding installer ensured they were completely compliant with the National Construction Code (NCC) regulations regarding the compatibility of direct contact between metals and alloys. This was especially important for Colorbond® home in the colour Wallaby as it was only 150 metres inland from breaking surf.
As well as being compliant with the NCC, these projects were also eligible for a BlueScope Steel warranty for the Colorbond® material. To obtain a BlueScope Steel warranty, it is a mandatory requirement that all Colorbond® steel products are installed using steel clips and fasteners, no matter the distance from the ocean or aggressive industrial areas.
For more information on the regulations get in touch or see our blog posts on NCC compliance and BlueScope Steel warranty requirements.
